No experience needed—beginners are warmly welcome!

Two hours will go by quickly, but I’ll do my best to pack in as much as possible while giving you time to absorb and practice what I teach.

What we’ll cover:
- History of Odissi dance
- Bhumi Pranam (salutation to the earth)
- Mudras (hand gestures)
- Bol (drum language)
- A couple of basic steps
- A very simple one-minute choreography to experience Odissi
- A demonstration of a dance item

Workshop Refund Policy - 

We rely on accurate attendance to make important arrangements for our workshops. If you need to withdraw from a workshop, please inform us in writing via email (akari@akaridance.com).

- You will be refunded 50% of the workshop fee for cancellations made between 3 and 7 days prior to the first day of the workshop.

- No refunds will be administered for cancellations within 48 hours of workshop.

Please take this into account when you sign up for one. Thank you for your understanding.

*In respect of its spiritual and historic origins, Odissi dance cannot be instructed or performed in presence of alcohol or dining settings.
